Texas Collections Emergency Resource Alliance (TX-CERA) takes your privacy seriously and will only use your personal information to provide and maintain the products and services you have requested from our organization.

You may be asked to enter/provide your name, email address, website address, mailing address, telephone number, information about your institution, job title, type of collection you oversee or work with, incident situations, active response methods, and payment or credit card information. We use this information to determine which TX-CERA region you belong to, deliver information requested, to improve the performance and applicability of the Site, to accept donations, to accept payment for courses or workshops, and to provide you with educational Content, resources, promotions, and special offers.

Personal Information that is Automatically Collected:

Through the use of the Site, TX-CERA may use data collection technology, such as Google Analytics to collect information related to your use of the Site. This provides us with information about our website usage, the number of visitors to our Site, their country, and whether they are using mobile or desktop devices. We use this information for statistical purposes only and to make sure our content is useful and accessible for our visitors.

We collect Personal Information when you register for a course, fill out a form or survey, subscribe to our blog, or request Services related to incident response. If you’re just viewing the Site, you won’t be required to provide personal information to browse.

Our Site contains links to other websites which are of interest to conservators, museum professionals, and other professionals in fields related to disaster planning, preparedness, response and recovery. They may include third-party products, services, webinars, videos, templates, worksheets, or links to other articles or sites. These sites may or may not have separate and independent privacy policies, and therefore, we are not responsible or liable for the protection and privacy of any information which you provide while visiting such sites. California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA):

CalOPPA requires any person, company, or organization that operates a website collecting Personal Information from California viewers/consumers to post a conspicuous privacy policy on its website stating exactly the information being collected and those individuals, companies or organizations with whom it is being shared. 

There is a link to this Privacy Policy on the footer of our website which is visible and accessible from every page on the Site.
